Successful Cooperation with St. Petersburg
Successful Cooperation between FHNW School of Business and St. Petersburg State University of Economics and Finance
On 2 December 2009 ten Russian students successfully completed the Executive Master of Business Administration in HR Management. The programme is the first cooperation between the FHNW School of Business and the newly-established competence centre of the St. Petersburg State University of Economics and Finance.
Prof. Dr. Ruedi Nützi, director of the FHNW School of Business attended the graduation ceremony as guest of honour. "Especially impressive was not only the students' determination to benefit from the programme but also to establish and realise concrete projects together with Swiss companies," Prof. Dr. Nützi said.
The EMBA-HR covers various Management topics such as Business Management, Psychology, Ethics, Coaching, Project Management, Leadership, Communication and Change Management.
The University of St. Petersburg is one of Russia's most renowned tertiary institutions and, also due to the mere two-and-a-half hour flight from Switzerland, an ideal partner. Further cooperation is envisaged for 2010: In autumn 2010 an EMBA in Finance and an executive programme in Health Management will begin. The University of Applied Sciences Bern will also be integrated in the latter programme.
Additionally, two study trips to Switzerland have been organised for St. Petersburg executives.
The partnership with the Russian university is embedded in the long-term international strategy of the FHNW School of Business and signifies a further hub within the school's international network.
The practice- and business-orientation of the programmes ensures that not only students but also enterprises and organisations in the cooperation countries can profit.
